Kamal Haasan has rendered a song for the upcoming movie, Avam. The track – Kaarirulae – composed by KS Sundaramurthy, is a soulful rock number with lyrics by Madhan Karky.

The song was recorded at a private studio yesterday and was an ‘unforgettable experience’ for debut director Vijay Vilvakrish. “We approached Kamal sir around two months ago and played the song for him. He really liked it and immediately agreed to sing. He was very enthusiastic as he felt that he would learn a lot from this experience.”
The song will appear during a pivotal scene in the film, and director Vilvakrish declared that Kamal’s haunting vocals combined with the rock elements of the track would make for a ‘brilliant sound experience’.
Avam‘s shooting has been wrapped up, and the audio launch will happen sometime next month. The movie, starring Gaurav and Kavya Shetty in the lead, has been produced by VJ Productions.
