Actor Kamal Haasan, who is busy with the pre-production work of his film with TK Rajeev Kumar, has sung a song for Ilaiyaraaja, in Gautham Karthik’s Muthuramalingam. The song ‘Therku Desa Singam Da’ has lyrics penned by legendary writer and producer Panchu Arunachalam. Ilaiyaraaja and Panchu Arunachalam are teaming for a film after nearly two decades.

Sources say that Ilaiyaraaja himself asked Kamal Haasan to render this song. The recording happened in Ilaiyaraaja’s studio sometime in the last week, before the actor left for the United States of America to deliver a speech at the Harvard University. Reportedly, Kamal Haasan completed the song in an hour.
Muthuramalingam is an action drama, directed by Rajadurai. It features Gautham Karthik, Catherine Tresa and Priya Anand in the lead roles. Actors karthik, Vivek, Prabhu, Suman, Radha Ravi, Vamsi Krishna, Singam Puli, Suganya and Rekha will be seen in supporting roles.
