Kamal Haasan started work on Sabhash Naidu a year ago. After a month-long schedule in Los Angeles in June last year, work on the film did not proceed. Now we learn that shoot will resume from next month.
Kamal Haasan’s spokesperson says, “Kamal has not completely recovered from his injury yet. That’s the reason the project is being delayed. As he has to double up as actor and director for the film, he is waiting till he is perfectly fit. He will resume shoot from August 16 in Chennai.”
Kamal Haasan fractured his leg in a fall at his Alwarpet home in August last year. He underwent a surgery at the Apollo Hospitals and was advised complete bed rest. After many months, he got back to work with Bigg Boss.
The shoot of Sabhash Naidu, which also stars Shruti Haasan, began in June 2016. When director TK Rajeev Kumar took ill during the shoot, Kamal Haasan took over as director. The film was extensively shot in some popular theatres in Los Angeles, and a major dance sequence was also canned.
Kamal plays a RAW agent in the film, and the popular character also featured in his 2008 film Dasavatharam. Shruti Haasan, who recently walked out of Sanghamitra, is expected to join the shoot from August. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, RJ Balaji and Brahmanandham in key roles.
