Actor Kamal Haasan is directing the remaining portions of Sabash Naidu, the Tamil-Telugu-Hindi trilingual, as the film’s director TK Rajeev Kumar is unwell and hospitalised.
Earlier, reports suggested that Kamal had taken over the direction of one song sequence in the movie. But now, sources say that he will be directing of the rest of the film as Rajeev Kumar is suffering from Lyme Disease. “My director has taken ill. Extremely ill. The unfortunate setback occurred when we were on the fourth day of our recce in LA. It is diagnosed as Lyme disease. A rare infection prevalent in Europe and North America. I am now directing the film,” said Kamal in a press release.
The film is based on the character of Balram Naidu from Kamal’s Dasavathaaram(2008). The film also stars Shruti Haasan, Saurabh Shukla, Ramya Krishnan, and Roger Narayanan.
