Actress Kanika has been roped in for a cameo appearance in Mani Ratnam’s next film. The actress was last seen in the Ajith-starrer Varalaaru and is making her comeback in Tamil with this project. She confirmed the news on her social media page:
“I’ve had the privilege of being introduced by Madras Talkies (Director Manirathnam’s production house) in 2003. After 11 long years I finally got to be part of his directorial project yday by doing a cameo appearance for his upcoming film. Me feeling elated& wishing the team the best…”
The yet-untitled film has Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen in the lead, with cinematography by PC Sreeram. The project went on floors on the 6th of this month and will be wrapped up by December.
Kanika made her debut with Five Star – a Madras Talkies production – in 2003.
