Actor Karthi’s Dev is scheduled for Valentine Day’s release, and the buzz now is that he recently signed up for a movie with Remo director Bakkiyaraj Kannan.
After the success of Kadaikutty Singam, actor Karthi initiated ‘Uzhavan Foundation’ that aims to retain the dignity of farmers and make their lives better. Karthi played the role of a proud farmer in the film, which was well-received by audience and was a huge success commercially too. On the day of Pongal festival, Karthi donated five lakh rupees for the welfare of farmers, while his elder brother and actor Suriya donated one crore rupees for the same. Karthi also released a video on his social media accounts, detailing the need for his initiative and the importance of agriculture.
Currently, the actor is working on an untitled film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who made his directorial debut with the movie Managaram. It is reported that the actor was impressed with Lokesh’s work and expressed his desire to collaborate with him. The movie, which starred Sundeep Kishan, Shree and Regina Cassendra in the lead roles, depicted the different shades of life in Chennai. The movie received positive reviews, and added a space for small-budget films. According to reports, the untitled-Karthi-starrer will be an action thriller with intense emotions. Karthi doesn’t have a pair in this movie. Music is composed by ‘Yaanji Yaanji’ fame Sam CS.

Karthi will be joining Remo director’s film soon after the completion of Lokesh’s film. The shoot is expected to begin by second half of the year, and the director recently put out a casting call for men and women from different age groups for his upcoming film. This new flick will be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
