Karthika Nair will play a role similar to that of Baahubali’s Devasena in an upcoming TV series. Penned by KV Vijayendra Prasad, the series’ main character maybe called Devasena, but is not the character from the recently released film.
Goldie Behl is on board to direct the series that went on floors in January this year. Karthika will be paired opposite Rajneesh Duggal, whose character Varun Dev is said to have similarities with Amarendra Baahubali, played by Prabhas.
The main series traces the rivalry between two different clans. SS Rajamouli might offer creative consultation at some point. Reports indicate that he might be roped in to be a consultant for the show that will premiere on TV soon.
