Actress Kate Winslet is in the final stages of talks to star in Woody Allen’s next movie, according to a Variety report. The movie, written, directed, and produced by Allen, will be produced by Letty Aronson and Edward Walson.
Allen’s Cafe Society was the opening film at Cannes this year. The romantic-drama, starring Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg, is yet to release in theatres.
Winslet acted in the Oscar-nominated film Steve Jobs (2015) and was recently seen in Open Road’s crime drama Triple Nine. In her ongoing project, Collateral Beauty, she is paired opposite Will Smith. The 40-year-old actress, who has won two Oscars, has never worked with Woody Allen before.
