A few scenes for Kaththi are being shot in Chennai right now. The scenes do not feature actor Vijay as he is rumoured to be on a break from the shoot at the moment. The crew is busy shooting with the supporting actors and will probably wind up by the end of this month. Actor Vijay will join the team for a fifteen day schedule sometime soon, following which the whole team will travel abroad to can a couple of songs. The filming should complete by the end of August to allow some time for the post production. AR Murugadoss is planning to release Kaththi this Deepavali.
