Kaththi, Pulipaarvai in Legal Trouble

Recommended

A case has been filed against the makers of Kaththi and Pulipaarvai for allegedly portraying Sri Lankan Tamils in an “offensive” manner. Ramesh from Madurai has appealed to the local court to initiate action against the makers. In his petition, he claimed, “Pulipaarvai has scenes portraying Balachandran (son of slain LTTE leader Prabhakaran) and other Sri Lankan Tamil kids as child soldiers. Kaththi has dialogues on the Sri Lankar war that are inflammatory and will unleash chaos in Tamil Nadu”.

The case went up for hearing in Madurai recently; but the judgement has been reserved.
