Keerthana Parthiepan, daughter of actor-director R Parthiepan, is all set to work as an assistant director in Mani Ratnam’s next film. The film, which will star Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan in lead roles, will go on floors in December. We hear that Keerthana is currently assisting Mani Ratnam in the auditions for various roles in the film.

Keerthana is best known for her portrayal of the child ‘Amudha’ in Mani Ratnam’s Kannathil Mutthamittal (2002), which went on to fetch her the National Award for best child actor. She has now completed her graduate degree in Visual Communication from Loyola College, Chennai.
While it has been confirmed that Karthi and Dulquer are part of the film, there has been no confirmation on the lead actress yet. Names like Shruti Haasan, Aishwarya Rai and Keerthi Suresh have been doing the rounds.
