National award-winning actor Keerthy Suresh celebrates her birthday today. The Mahanati star has a lot of interesting projects up her sleeve and to celebrate, her birthday two production houses released her first look from her upcoming films.
One is Stone Bench Films’ Penguin and the other, her untitled Telugu sports romedy with ace director Nagesh Kukunoor.
Unveiling the poster Worth A Shot productions said, on its, official twitter account, “Presenting our golden girl in her true element. So excited to introduce her to you. No make up & hair – just Keerthy. Happy birthday superstar!” Kukunoor tweeted the photo with the message: “A very happy birthday to the most gracious and down to earth actress I’ve ever worked.”

Meanwhile, Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films also unveiled her first look from their film with her, Penguin. A silhouette of Keerthy’s character, who appears to be pregnant is seen and in the backdrop are green mountains.

Penguin is Stone Bench Film’s third production and has been shot in Kodaikanal. Helmed by debut director Eashvar Karthic it will be presented by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj who had previously produced Meyaadha Maan and Mercury. The cast reportedly includes Madhampatty Rangaraj who was the lead in Mehendi Circus and Linga from Sindhubaadh. Karthik Palani handled the camera, Anil Krish on edit, art was by Sakthee Venkatraj M and costumes designed by Pallavi Singh. While Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music, Thomas Kurian is in-charge of sound design.
Penguin will wrap up production by the end of the year and hit the screens in early 2020.
Keerthy Suresh is also a part of Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham which is set to release next year. Her films, Maidaan and Miss India are in production.
