KGF Chapter 2: Music Director Ravi Basrur Looking for Musicians

KGF: Chapter 2‘s music director Ravi Basrur announced that he is looking for musicians to join his crew.

Basrur put up a social media story recently calling for musicians who can play the trumpet, tuba and trombone. He also mentioned in his post that musicians were required specifically for the music recording of KGF: Chapter 2.

KGF: Chapter 2 is the sequel to the 2018 film KGF: Chapter 1. The sequel was originally scheduled to hit theatres on October 23 but the release has been delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yash plays the role of Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka Rocky, who is on a mission to fulfil his dying mother’s last wish in KGF Chapter 1. The film was shot predominantly in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolar Gold Fields.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, shooting for the sequel resumed on August 26 after a hiatus of nearly five months. Actors Prakash Raj and Malavika Avinash along with several others joined the sets.

The sequel stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Vasista Simha, Saran Shakti and Ananth Nag in prominent roles. Cinematography is handled by Bhuvan Gowda. While Shivakumar will be taking care of the art, Anbariv is charge of the stunts.

KGF: Chapter 2 will be bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur for Hombale Films while being jointly presented by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar‘s Excel Entertainment and Anil Thadani’s AA Films in Hindi, and Sai Korrapati’s Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram in Telugu.

The movie will be released in Kannada along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.

KGF: Chapter 1, which was released in 2018, had the highest opening in the history of the Kannada film industry. It became the eighth highest grosser in South Indian cinema and collected over Rs 20 crore in 50 days. The film won two National Awards, including one for special effects and one for stunt choreography.
