There were a few reports that actress Khushbu might be contesting the Nadigar Sangam Elections as a candidate of Vishal’s Paandavar Ani, opposite Sarathkumar, the incumbent president. However, on Sunday, Khushbu cleared the air regarding the issue :

Khushbu had earlier voiced her support for Vishal’s team comprising of himself, Nasser, Karthi, Ponvannan and Karunaas. The election will be held on the 18th of October in Chennai and the nominations are expected to be filed on October 1,2 and 3. Both teams have been campaigning vigorously for the elections, meeting various actors and theatre artistes and associations to gather support.
