Kuttram Kadithal, a thriller directed by debutant Bramma G , will be the only Tamil feature film at the 45th International Film festival of India. The movie is produced by JSK Film Corporation, whose Thanga Meengal won an award at last year’s festival. Speaking about this honour, producer JSK Satish Kumar said, “It will motivate me to surf for more talents and put Tamil films on the international map.”

A total of 26 features and 15 non-features will be part of the Indian Panorama section at the International Film Festival to be held at Goa this year. The feature section has 7 films each from Malayalam and Marathi, five Bengali movies, two in Hindi, and one each from Assamese, Kannada, Khasi, Odiya and Tamil. Some of the films to be featured include Malayalam films Munnariyippu, Njan; and Marathi movies Yellow, Quilla, and Candles in the Wind.
Kutram Kadithal has also been selected for the Zimbabwe International Film festival and the 16th edition of the Mumbai film festival. The movie stars debutatants Master Ajay, Radhika Prasidhha and Sai Rajkumar. Shankar Rengarajan composes the music, while S. Manikandan handles the camera. C. S Prem, an associate of B Lenin edits the movie, whose title is derived from a chapter in the Thirukkural that deals with avoiding mistakes.
