Bankrolled by Arun Kumar VR under the banner of Film Roll Productions, Sibi Thomas and journalist Sreejith Divakaran have penned the screenplay. Thomas made his debut with the 2017 Malayalam family drama Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, prior to which he was a circle inspector at Kasargod police station in Kerala. This is the actor’s first time as a writer.
Kuttavum Shikshayumhas been billed as a cop drama based on a real investigation that took place in Kasargod, Kerala.
National Award winner B Ajithkumar is the editor, while Suresh Rajan is handling the camera. The film went on the floors in early February.
Ravi’s last directorial was 2016 Malayalam action-drama Kammatipaadam, starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. He is working on a Malayalam historical drama Thuramukham, starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role.
Ali was last seen in the 2019 Malayalam film Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha directed by debutant director Nissam Basheer. The actor has a number of films in the pipeline, including Kunjeldho, Kothth, Rachiyamma (a Malayalam anthology film), Ellaam Shariyaakum, Maheshum Maruthiyum, Thattum Vellattam.
Wayne’s last film was a Malayalam fantasy-comedy thriller My Santa (2019), directed by Sugeeth, and Tamil romantic road movie Gypsy written and directed by Raju Murugan. Wayne will be seen in an upcoming Malayalam drama fantasy film titled Anugraheethan Antony (directed by debutant director Prince Joy), Zam Zam (a Malayalam remake of 2014 Hindi release Queen) and a few others.
