If it’s a Prabhu Deva film, dance ought to be the ‘hero’ of the movie. The new teaser of Lakshmi is out and this time it’s not Prabhu Deva who is breaking into impossible dance, it’s a young girl (Ditya Bhande) who is hogging the limelight.

The teaser focuses on Bhande’s rollicking moves. Ditya, (winner of Sony television’s reality show Super Dancer), plays Prabhu Deva’s student in the film. Although the teaser does not touch upon the storyline, the film looks like a promising benchmark for dance-based films. It has some elements of street dancing and dance-offs from Prabhu Deva’s previous dance film ABCD.
The cast includes Aishwarya Rajesh, Karunakaran, Kovai Sarala and Salman Yusuff Khan. Release date for the film is yet to be announced, though it is expected to be out by July.
The Tamil-Telugu bilingual marks the second collaboration between Prabhu Deva and director Vijay after Devi in 2016. Music is by Sam CS and Nirav Shah is the cinematographer. The film is produced by Pramod films and Trident Arts.
