Interacting with fans for the first time since the assault, the Malaylam actress who survived a kidnap and assault near Kochi last month wrote on her Instagram account, “Life has knocked me down a few times, it showed me things I never wanted to see. I experienced sadness and failures. But one thing is for sure, I always get up.”
Actor Prithviraj, her co-star in their next film, declared his support for her over social media and vowed to not say “sexist and misogynistic” dialogues in his movies ever again.

It is only a week since her ordeal, but the actress has already joined the sets of her next movie. Her courage and determination to continue with normal life has been widely applauded on social and other media. Support has also poured in from actors from different industries.

The police have arrested all the main accused in the case and the actress is reportedly satisfied with the proceedings thus far. The men who had assaulted her in Kochi had originally intended to blackmail her.
Now, it looks like nothing will stop this brave woman’s road to recovery. She has become an inspirational figure for assault survivors, with many people standing by her and continuing to support her.
She is expected to join the sets of her next Kannada movie in the first week of March.
