Ludo: Netflix Releases Trailer of Anurag Basu’s Anthology Film

The trailer of director Anurag Basu‘s upcoming dark anthology comedy film Ludo released on Monday. The film, set to premiere on Netflix on November 12, stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Pearle Maaney and Inayat Verma in pivotal roles.

Netflix India took to Twitter on Monday to release the trailer.

The trailer starts with the rolling of a dice and a dialogue that says: “Ludo is life and life is Ludo. Aap jeeto ya haaro, ultimately saare gotiyon ko pohochna toh ek hi ghar mein hain na? (Whether you win or you lose, ultimately the tokens have to reach home)”, and then moves on to show glimpses of the cast woven in between action, crime and comedy sequences.

The anthology deals with four separate stories that are interwoven and culminate into a common climax.

The director and actors including Rao, Bachchan and Malhotra took to Twitter on Sunday to announce  the trailer release date.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar’s T-Series along with Anurag Basu Productions, the film is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Basu, Divya Khosla Kumar, Tani Somarita Basu and Krishan Kumar.

After Life In A Metro, starring Shilpa Shetty, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma and several others, Ludo will be Basu’s second anthology film, comprising of a number of stories.

While several actors have joined hands for the first time in the movie, Shaikh and Malhotra will be sharing screen space for the second time after Dangal (2016), co-starring Aamir Khan and Sakshi Tanwar.
