Director Balaji Mohan’s upcoming film Maari has been awarded a ‘U’ certificate. The movie will now hit screens on July 17. Earlier, there were several reports that suggested that the release of the movie was postponed to July 24.
While director Balaji Mohan was not available for comment, co-producer Radikaa Sarathkumar took to Twitter to announce the certification.
Maari, starring Dhanush, Kajal Aggarwal and Vijay Yesudas, is tipped to be a gangster movie. The trailer which opened to a massive response has crossed over 2 million views.
Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, this film also has Robo Shankar, Kaali Venkat, Mime Gopi and Sriranjini in important roles.
