Madhuram Jeevamruthabindu, the upcoming Malayalam anthology presented by filmmaker Siddique, will be a feel-good one, producer Arjun Ravindran told Silverscreen India. Produced by Arjun under the Twenty Three Feet banner in association with Aashiq Bava, Madhuram Jeevamruthabindu is an anthology of four films directed by a group of young filmmakers and friends: Shamzu Zayba (Maniyarayile Ashokan), Appu N Bhattathiri (Nizhal), Prince Joy (Anugraheethan Antony) and Jenith Kachapilly (Mariyam Vannu Vilakkoothi).

In conversation with Silverscreen India, producer Arjun said Madhuram Jeevamruthabindu will be related to happiness as its tagline, ‘Finding Happiness’, suggests. “The film will be enjoyed by all groups of audience, including children, youngsters and families. It is a positive and a happy film,” he added.

The film will feature actors Lal, Saiju Kurup, Basil Joseph and Jaffar Idukki, among several others.

Arjun revealed that director Shamzu had pitched this idea of weaving four films together, with each part helmed by established directors.  “The subject being related to happiness got me interested in the project. In recent times, there have been many thrillers and dark films, so I thought this project would be a good change. The audience also enjoys such films,” said the producer.

“The stories were well-crafted and the filmmakers had everything ready and were fully prepared when they approached me,” the producer mentioned, adding that the project was thus kick-started within a month and a half of the initial discussion.

The makers revealed in an Instagram post that the shooting of the first segment of the anthology, titled Jesse and directed by Shamzu, is in progress.

Three out of the four films will be shot in Kochi, while the remaining one will be shot in Wayanad. “We are planning to release it by the end of this year or the beginning of next year,” Arjun added.
