Madras will get censored soon, according to its producer KE Gnanavel Raja. Speaking to an English daily, he said, “A shortage of members in the Regional Censor Board has led to a delay in the release of several films. The authorities have assured us that it will be resolved soon, but if the crisis continues, we will apply to the Mumbai Censor Board and get Madras certified.”
Recently, the makers of Anjaan and Vaanavarayan Vallavarayan went to Mumbai to get their films censored. Starring Karthi Sivakumar and Catherine Tresa, the film is director Pa Ranjith’s ode to North Madras. The album by Santhosh Narayanan was launched recently in the presence of actors Sivakumar and Suriya.
