Almost a year ago, there was buzz surrounding the production house that will be bankrolling Mahesh Babu’s next with director Vamshi Paidipally. Both the actor and the director had come to separate agreements with PVP Cinemas stating their willingness to do films with them. Vamshi, in particular, promised to work on a film with Mahesh.
However, things went haywire and for reasons unknown, the director who worked with PVP earlier for Oopiri went ahead and announced that his next venture starring Mahesh would be a joint production of Ashwini Dutt and Dil.
Not so surprisingly, Prasad V. Potluri lodged a complaint against the director for the breach of agreement and also threatened to go to court. However, no compromise was reached and PVP managed to get a stay from the court. PVP claimed that he was the one who set up the entire project and even paid for the pre-production.
While the new producers have tried to adjust and make amends to no avail, the court is set to give a judgement on June 4, and PVP has apparently decided that if it fails, he would go to a higher court. This also means the project could get delayed further.
