Mahira Khan, the Pakistanti actress who got trolled after she was photographed smoking with Ranbir Kapoor in New York, recently said that she has learnt a lesson on how the media works in blowing up controversies.

Mahira was replying to a reporter’s question at an event to promote her upcoming film Verna. According to DNA, she said “I am a very careful person otherwise. People ask me that I do not do this in films (smoking and wearing backless dress), I say I do not want to. Why should I do anything to show the world? It is my personal life and it is very normal for a boy and girl to hang out. Nowadays, media is not only present at events but everywhere. So, I have learnt from it.”
