The teaser of Ai was leaked online recently. Aascar Ravichandran, the producer of Ai, had played the teaser to a few journalists and movie-buffs, and someone seemed to have recorded the teaser while watching it in the producer’s office. Ravichandran lodged a police complaint at the commissioner’s office yesterday. “The teaser will not be re-cut. Fans will still be enthralled by the teaser,” said Aascar. Vasan Rajeswaran, who lives in the UK (according to his Facebook profile) had allegedly posted screenshots of the teaser on his Facebook profile. He has also been posting status messages defending his action. Ravichandran said, “I’m surprised at the audacity of the person who posted those screenshots.”
Directed by Shankar, Ai features Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles. The audio of the film will be launched on September 15 at Nehru Stadium. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan are said to attend the grand event. While PC Sreeram has handled camera, AR Rahman has composed music.
