Malayalam Actress Harassment Case: Former Home Minister Slams Police Investigation

Recommended

The Congress party’s Ramesh Chennithala has slammed the Kerala Police for not properly investigating the kidnap and assault of a Malayalam actress. Former Home Minister and present Leader of Opposition, Ramesh Chennithala, blamed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for the lack of outcome in the case.

“Soon after the kidnap episode, Vijayan at a public meeting passed the judgment that there is no conspiracy,” Chennithala said.

The Congress leader also said that he hoped the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) would break its silence on the issue, following its two-day meeting which is to be held soon.

An investigation is currently underway in the assault case. The actress (victim) recorded her statement with the Police earlier this week.
