Actress Mallika Sherawat was assaulted at her Paris apartment on November 11. According to a report in Le Parisien, the actress was surprised by ‘masked intruders’ at her XVIth arrondissement apartment. They proceeded to tear gas her and her partner, before ‘punching’ her.
Sherawat filed a complaint with the police shortly after the assailants fled the scene. A criminal investigation has been launched, with detectives working on the theory that the assailants were attempting a robbery.
This latest attempt comes just weeks after celebrity Kim Kardashian was found tied up in a bathtub at her Paris apartment. The reality star was robbed of jewellery worth 6 million euros, at gun-point, by five assailants.
