Debutant director Deen Dennis, son of scriptwriter Kaloor Dennis, is planning to direct a game thriller with Mammootty in the lead. This would be the first-of-its-kind in Malayalam cinema.
In a recent statement released to The Times of India, Dennis, who has also written the script, said, “The film will have elements of gaming and will be the first of its kind in Malayalam. If I reveal more, the suspense will be lost.” The film will be a mass thriller, and will have elements of action, drama, romance, humour and adventure, he adds.
Sources reveal that the movie is based on a series of mysterious incidents that occur in Kochi and how these incidents are connected to the protagonist, Vinod Menon played by Mammootty.
The pre-production works for the movie is currently in progress and the team will announce the rest of the cast soon. They are planning to start shooting by December this year. Kochi and Bengaluru have been finalised as the major locations.
Kaloor Denis, the father of Dean Dennis, has scripted several films starring Mammootty like Sandarbham and Koottinilamkili.
Meanwhile, Mammootty has a lot of movies in the pipeline, including the political-drama Parole. The actor is busy shooting for his next feature, Oru Kuttanadan Blog and Uncle, Peranb in Tamil and Abrahaminte Santhathikal are gearing up for release.
