Mollywood actress Manju Warrier might make her Tamil movie debut in the near future. Reports suggest that director Ramana, who made films like Thirumalai, Sullan and Aadhi, will be directing the actress in her first Tamil movie. Furthermore, it is reported that actor Arvind Swami will play the male lead in the film.

Just like Aravind Swami, Manju Warrier too had been away from movie industry for a long time, before making a comeback recently. Warrier, who was the top-billed actress in Malayalm cinema in the late 1990s, married actor Dileep in 1998 and quit acting. 15 years later, she made her comeback with Rosshan Andrews’ How Old Are You. Since then, she has had 5 movie releases and various TV commercials. Currently, she is working on two Malayalam films, C/O Saira Banu and Gabrielum Malakhamarum.
Incidentally, the Tamil project is a comeback for director Ramana too, whose last film Aadhi released in 2006. The director had been suffering from throat cancer from 2011, and has recovered from it recently. Reportedly, the director partially regained his voice with years of treatment and practice. Ramesh Vinagayam has been roped in for this project as the music director and an official announcement on the same is expected soon.
