Meenakshi Seshadri, who used to be a very popular heroine in Bollywood and regional cinema for many years, is no longer interested in films. In an interview to IANS, the actress confirmed that she had no plans to return to films and that she won’t be a part of the sequel of her 1990 hit movie Ghayal.

Now settled in the US, Meenakshi left movies after marriage. Rumours were rife that she would make her comeback to Bollywood with the Ghayal sequel. However, IANS quoted her as saying,”There were talks, but nothing materialised. Whatever you have heard so far, it’s all just stories and not true. I am not interested in films at this point. I would like to do stage production and dance dramas.”
The actress is best-known for her roles in films like Ghayal, Damini, Duet and Ghatak.
“I didn’t work in movies for this long because my kids and family are more important to me. I am thinking that the day my daughter graduates, maybe at that time I will think about something,” she said.
