In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actress said reduced censorship in the online space made a huge difference to storytellers. ” [The web] doesn’t make you feel that you can’t do this or that. It doesn’t mean you want to use 100 abusive words… you just feel free and can express things the way you do in your normal lives. I don’t think this moral policing is necessary. If something can start a conversation, then that is the idea.”

Earlier, the actress was trolled after she posted a picture from her Goa holiday on Instagram. She was wearing a bikini on the beach, and trolls slut-shamed her. She reacted saying, “I didn’t even know I was being trolled till someone told me. It’s ridiculous! Do people expect me to wear a sari on a beach?”

Speaking about the innate trust between actors and directors, Radhika said that if directors Anurag Kashyap or Sriram Raghavan told her about a script, she would agree to be a part of it, as she trusted them completely. Speaking to Pinkvilla about Kashyap, she said she felt at home working with him. “I feel completely capable of opening myself and being vulnerable in front of him and take any leap of faith, literally. He makes me feel very inspired with his energy. He also gives you a lot of freedom, yet he also challenges my comfort zone. He is one of my favourite persons to work with.”

One of the more outspoken actors, Radhika also took on the issue of disparity in remuneration for women in her HT interview, saying there needed to be a more transparent and streamlined system. “We talk about numbers for A-listers. But they’re not even 5% of the entire cast of a film. With the rest of the cast, there’s a huge, ridiculous disparity,” she added.
