Director AR Murugadoss has released high definition photos of Rajinikanth from Darbar. The film has been creating buzz among fans with pictures of Rajini as a cop leaking from the sets.
Murugadoss made a call to fans to submit their most creative poster design with the pictures. The best will be released officially by the team. Rajinikanth can be seen walking through dust in a police man’s uniform in one of the pictures. The other has him smiling, in a light blue jacket.

Murgadoss tweeted yesterday that he will release HD photos as well as the title design at 7 pm. The pictures have since been trending online.

The action-thriller written and directed by Murugadoss features Rajinikanth as a cop, as revealed by the first look poster. Nayanthara plays the female lead, and recently started shooting for her part in the second schedule of the film in Mumbai.
Jeeva, cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh and Sriman joined the cast. The film has Bollywood actors Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar as antagonists and it is believed that Prateik plays Suniel’s brother. Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, Nivetha Thomas, Dalip Tahil, Soori, Harish Uthaman, Manobala, Suman, Anandaraj, Rao Ramesh and Bose Venkat are also in the cast.
Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, and the Rajinikanth intro song is sung by SP Balasubrahmanyam, who said at an event that the song is about Rajini’s tasks as a police officer. The film has cinematography by Santosh Shivan and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
Murugadoss said in an interview that the film will be wrapped up by end of August. The release date is yet to be confirmed, but the makers are considering a Pongal 2020 release. Lyca Productions are bankrolling the film.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Rajinikanth met director Siva and is likely to collaborate with him for a film. This project is yet to be confirmed.
Nayanthara is gearing up for the release of Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, and has Love Action Drama, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Bigil under production.
