Music Director Sirpy’s Son To Debut In Vasudev Bhaskar’s ‘Palli Paruvathilae’

Nandhan Ram, the son of music director Sirpy, will debut as the lead actor in a film directed by Vasudev Bhaskar, titled Palli Paruvathilae. Sirpy is known for scoring the music for a number of Tamil and Malayalam films. Bhaskar, who last directed Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai, will also direct former child artiste Venba in the film.

The director told Deccan Chronicle that the film is a school romance inspired by his own childhood experiences. “The story is based on my real school experiences while I was studying at Iluppai Thoppu Secondary School in Aambalapattu, in Tanjore. It is basically a rom-com with a twist in it. I can’t reveal much about the story now. I was very studious till the 9th grade and because of my passion towards cinema, I performed poorly in my 10th grade. I dreamt of shooting in my school one day and it has come true now!” he said. was quoted saying. 

Apart from the newcomers, the film will also have director KS Ravikumar playing the role of the teacher. His character is inspired by Vasudev’s real-life school teacher, Sarangan, who was responsible for the success of several of his children.

The cast also includes actress Urvashi in an important role. The film’s music will be composed by debutant Vijaynarayanan.

Shooting began last week with the donation of 11 cows. According to Dinamalar, the team intend to donate 100 cows by the time the shoot is completed.
