Cheran Criticises TFPC President Vishal, Wants Him To Quit
Director and actor Cheran is keen on seeing TFPC President, Nadigar Sangam General Secretary, actor, producer, and now a candidate for the RK Nagar By-Polls – Vishal Krishna – quitting the producers council. Reported by Deccan Chronicle, Cheran said that many other producers are of the same opinion too.
“Let Vishal contest RK Nagar or Ashok Nagar or KK Nagar. We have no problem at all. But he should contest the election after resigning his post as president of Producers’ Council. Producers’ Council is an organisation that should be kept away from politics and an organisation that is dependent on the government,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vishal filed his nomination papers to contest the RK Nagar by-polls and got a big thumbs-up from AAP chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. The actor has chosen the ‘whistle’ symbol to contest the by-election.
Fox Fires Bryan Singer, Director Of Queen Biopic
Fox has reportedly fired director Bryan Singer, who was initially supposed to helm the biopic on band Queen titled Bohemian Rhapsody. According to Variety, his termination was not specified but under the “pay or play” provision of his contract, due to his repeated failures to show up on the set.
The biopic’s filming has been taking place in London, featuring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. Early this month, Fox had announced that film’s production was temporarily halted due to Singer being unavailable.

India’s first interactive trailer – Monsoon Shootout features the dilemma of a rookie cop named Adi (played by Vijay Varma) who has to decide whether to choose a suspect, Shiva (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) or not. The trailer opens with a violent image of a man chopping off someone’s head with an axe. The scene soon shifts to Adi being recruited and taunted by a senior for following the rules instead of being more brave.
There’s a lot of blood and gun violence until, the cops catch hold of Shiva. Cornered in an alley while it rains at night, Adi is given 20 seconds to choose. The trailer then leaves the audience to choose one of the two options – Click To Shoot or Click To Not Shoot. Both the options are different and on clicking them, it ends up with two different scenarios. Not one of them has a happy ending.
Directed by Amit Kumar, the psychological thriller is set to release on 15 December.
