Nadigar Sangam’s System Is As Transparent As the Bigg Boss House: Vishal

One of the issues actor-producer Vishal raised – before, during and after the Nadigar Sangam elections – was for the construction of the Nadigar Sangam building in T Nagar. Now, The Madras High Court has removed an interim stay on the Nadigar Sangam’s proposed new construction. A petition had filed in the High Court that the Sangam land was encroaching on public property. Now, the court has ruled in Sangam’s favour.
At a press meet , Vishal, general secretary of Nadigar Sangam, said, “We had stopped  construction because of the ongoing case. Now that the Court has lifted the stay order, we will begin construction immediately. And, I would like to convey something to the media. Please do not waste time to check if there is any corruption in the Sangam. It works like an open book; something like a Bigg Boss house – the system is as transparent as the house and anybody can monitor our work. I believe in the law, and if we are law-abiding citizens, nobody can put us down!”
Speaking about the construction plan, Vishal said, “We are planning to construct a massive auditorium to facilitate award functions and other cinema events. Also, a Kalyana Mandapam will be constructed here.  We have plans for a mini hall that members can book free of cost for  weddings in the family. A library and  an artiste training academy are also on the anvil. The revenue from this building will help us provide more benefits to senior artistes in the Sangam.”

Karunas, one of the members of the Sangam, had recently commented that despite the Nadigar Sangam being a team, Vishal decides unilaterally without taking others’ suggestions. But, actor Ponvannan, another member said: “There is a monthly meeting in the Sangam office. Each and every move of the Sangam is discussed in the meeting. Vishal has never taken a decision on his own. This is completely baseless.”
Vishal had earlier stated that he would not get married unless the Nadigar Sangam building is completed. Since construction has begun, does he plan to  settle down now? Vishal said, “We would like to finish the construction by August 2018. I request Ponvannan sir to complete the construction of the building within a year and pave the way for my impending marriage.” (laughs)
