Actress Jomol is returning to Malayalam film industry with Colourful, an investigative-thriller directed by VK Prakash. The film, which has Vijay Babu in the lead role, will go on floors soon.

Reportedly, Vijay Babu plays a police officer in Colourful. Kuchipudi dancer Sandhya Raju is making her acting debut this film. Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup, Sreejith Ravi, Vineeth Kumar, Asokan, Krishna Kumar, Parvathy Nambiar, and Sreejaya will play supporting roles in the film, which is produced by Suresh Balaji and George Pious under the under the banner of Wide Angle Creations.
Jomol, a state award winning actress, had taken a break from her acting career after her marriage. Jomon had a successful career in the nineties and had received much acclaim for her performances. She appeared in a number of hit films like Niram and Mayilppeelikkavu and had also won a special jury mention at the national awards for her performance in Ennu Swantham Janakikkutty (1997).
