On Monday, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui announced his next film, a romantic comedy, opposite actress Neha Sharma titled Jogira Sara Ra Ra. Helmed by Babumoshai Bandookbaaz fame Kushan Nandy, the film will be bankrolled by Naeem A Siddiqui under the Touchwood Multimedia Creations banner with Kiran Shyam Shroff creative producing the film.

While the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed, the light-hearted romantic story is being penned by Ghalib Asad Bhopali.
Talking about Jogira Sara Ra Ra, Kushan Nandy said in a statement, “Jogira Sara Ra Ra celebrates the joie de vivre of an oddball couple, their fancies and madness, set against the milieu of small-town India or what I choose to call – the more glitzy and exuberant India.”
The makers plan to kickstart with the shoot in February 2021 and will shoot extensively in and around Lucknow, Benaras, and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin saw two direct OTT releases – Ghoomketu and Raat Akeli Hai, in the lockdown period and has one more – Serious Men lined up in the coming months. While Ghoomketu hit Zee5 in May and opened to mediocre reviews, Raat Akeli Hai released in July and has been well appreciated by critics and audiences. His Serious Men, a Netflix original, will hit the platform soon.

Neha, on the other hand, who was last seen in the Voot Select web series Illegal and will next feature in Bejoy Nambiar’s revenge drama Taish. Though the web series Illegal failed to impress, the Solo actress was appreciated by critics and audiences for her performance.
