Nayanthara has signed on for a new film. Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, the film will see the actress play a journalist based in France. Chezhian is the cinematographer and Sathish Kumar the art director.
Bharat told Sify, “Nayan plays a journalist based in France and she is forced to travel to many countries in search of her identity and family, till she reaches Tamil Nadu. It is a realistic thriller set in a huge canvas and only a production house like Eros can pull it off. 75% of the film will be shot abroad in mountains, snow and deserts, and perhaps it will be the first Tamil film to be shot in Mongolia. We are planning to start rolling from mid March and currently pre-production work and recce trips are happening. Chezian has been roped in as DOP while Sathish Kumar will be the art director. Rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon.”
The project will be produced by Eros International. The ‘realistic thriller’ will go on the floors in 2017. Meanwhile, Nayanthara is busy filming Ajay Gnanmuthu’s Imaikkaa Nodigal. Nayanthara plays a cop in this film.
