Nayanthara has reportedly started shooting with director Milind Rau for an upcoming, as-yet-untitled film, which is likely to be produced by her partner and director Vignesh Shivan.

The film is yet to be officially announced. As reported earlier, talks have been on since February 2019 and reports now say that the shooting has begun. The film also stars the dog that played an important role in Yogi Babu’s Gurkha. “The makers were quite particular in casting the dog that has become the talk of the town,” a source told Indian Express.

Milind Rau made his debut with the 2013 film Kadhal 2 Kalyanam, starring Arya’s brother Sathya and Divya in the lead, and he returned with the well-received 2017 horror film Aval, starring Siddharth and Andreah Jeremiah. There are also reports now that he is likely to direct a movie with Rana Daggubati soon.

Nayanathara, meanwhile, is back on the sets of AR Murugadoss’ Darbar for the final schedule of the film. Pictures of Nayanthara and Rajinikanth flying together to Jaipur for shoot have been doing the rounds online.

The film features Rajinikanth as a cop, a character he is playing two decades after Pandian released. It is an action-thriller written and directed by Murugadoss, and Nayanthara’s role is yet to be revealed.

The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Santhosh Shivan and editing by Sreekar Prasad. Bollywood actors Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar play the antagonists, and Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, Nivetha Thomas, Dalip Tahil, Soori, Harish Uthaman, Manobala and others star in important roles.

Nayanthara’s character in the multi-starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy was also recently revealed. She plays Siddhama, wife of Narasimha Reddy, played by Chiranjeevi in the lead.

Nayanthara, last seen in Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, also has the Malayalam film Love Action Drama co-starring Nivin Pauly, which has completed production and is awaiting release, and Bigil, the Atlee directorial with Vijay, gearing up for a Deepavali release.
