Nayanthara who is reported to be a fan of horror movies must be delighted that her love for this genre will materialise in her next film, which is to be titled ‘Dora’.

Music Director Anirudh Ravichander announced the title on his Twitter account, on Monday. Minutes after the official announcement, #Dora was trending on Twitter.

Director Doss Ramasamy in his interview with The Hindu said that Nayanthara liked the film’s genre which was a crime-thriller with “a few ghost scenes”. The director also revealed that he wrote the script with a male protagonist in mind. But after the success of 2015 horror-film Maya, he changed the script to make it compatible to a female lead. “It was my mentor, Sargunam, who suggested that it would work better with a female protagonist. So, I tweaked the story with Nayanthara in mind,” he said.

Nayantara will be next seen on screen in Vikram starrer Iru Mugan, following which, Kashmora starring Karthi will have a Diwali release.
