Neerja Bhanot’s family might take legal action against the producers of the biopic, Neerja. According to a DNA report, the film’s producer Atul Kasbekar had promised to give Bhanot’s family a 10 percent cut of the profits. Kasbekar allegedly reneged on his promise, even as the film went on to make over Rs 100 crore at the box-office.
Meanwhile, Kasbekar, on behalf of his company Bling Studios, says that their share of the profits was cut down significantly because they entered into a co-production agreement with Fox Star India.
Both parties were reportedly in talks to resolve the issue amicably. But, the talks. The Bhanots will now try to move the Mumbai High Court to get their share of the profits.
