Singer-lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj who shot to stardom after Neruppuda in Kabali will soon sing for music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. The duo will be seen working together for the first time in the movie, Balloon, a horror movie directed by Sinish Sreedharan, and starring Jai and Anjali in the lead roles.
Speaking to Silverscreen.in, Arunraja Kamaraj shared his excitement over this development. “I am absolutely thrilled to work with Yuvan Shankar Raja. I have been a huge fan of his music right from my college days. From his first movie, Thulluvatho Elamai I have been following his music. It feels great to work alongside someone who I have always admired from afar,” said Arunraja.
The actor also spoke about his upcoming projects. “Recently, I have been signed on for one of the lead roles in the movie, Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma directed by debutant Siva Kumar Aravind. I am also doing a significant role in GV Prakash starrer Adangathey. I have a few other projects lined up as well,” said the singer/actor.
Director Sinish had earlier confirmed to Silverscreen that the album will have four songs, one of which will be a promo song. The music composition was started in early August. The movie is scheduled to wrap-up its shoot by the end of October.

Sinish said that the film will not be just another run-of-the-mill horror film. “The screenplay of the film will have the same formula as successful horror films of the past, but the plot of the film is completely different,” he said.
Balloon is produced by TN Arun Balaji and Kandasamy Nandhakumar of 70 MM Films, along with stunt choreographer-turned-actor Dhilip Subbarayan of Farmer’s Master Plan Production. The technical crew includes cinematographer R Saravanan, editor Ruben, stunt choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan, dance choreographer Sherif, costume designer NJ Sathya, and art director Shakthi Venkataraj.
