Nikkragan is an upcoming commercial thriller, written and directed by Nazren Sam. The film is being made by a group of college friends, and stars Prasanth Daaveeth and Mohammed Gani in the lead.
The producers of the film released the first look poster and title on Friday. The poster features four young actors with a radio in the background.

According to a press statement, the story is about the lives of colleges students who work as part-time radio jockeys. “They are the hosts of a new, engaging radio show which makes them popular among all sections of people. A life-changing incident turns things around, and they get caught in various problems arising because of the dangers of internet,” the statement reads.
The film follows the story of how the RJs get out of these problems. Speaking to Silverscreen, director Nazren says that revealing anything more would let out the story. He says that a group of friends from different colleges have come together to make the movie, “For four years we have been working on it. We have followed incidents reported in news papers, and the film is a commercial thriller inspired by these real events.”
“The title of the film is Nikkragan, which means ‘destroy’. It has a significance to the screenplay,” added Nazren. Apart from the lead actors who have worked on films before, the rest of the team comprises of newcomers. Aravind J is the cinematographer, and Sanathan is the music composer. Editing is by Shahid and Vinoth Jackson. Raj Kamal is the art director, Mohanrajan is the lyricist.
Nikkragan is produced by Chaitanya Shankaran under the banner Chaitanya Cine Creations. The shooting for the movie will begin next month, and locations in Chennai and Chengalpet have been finalised. Release can be expected sometime in June, said the director.
