The film’s poster was released by actor Dulquer Salmaan on Monday.

The bilingual is directed by debutant filmmaker Ra Karthik, and it is backed by Viacom18 Studios and Sreenidhi Sagar, with Rupak Pranav Tej serving as the co-producer.

Speaking to Silverscreen India about the upcoming film, Karthik says, “It is a travelogue and a feel-good film. The female leads are not just there for the sake of it, but will each have an individuality of their own. Apart from love, the film will talk about creating positivity in life.”

“The film is broken down into three connected episodes, but it is not an anthology. There will be a big travel in the story from Chennai to Pollachi, Hyderabad, Vizag, Sikkim, Manali, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and Delhi,” the director adds.

Karthik has also written the script, dialogues, and screenplay of the film. “I wrote this script about five years ago by observing the moments that happen in life around us. The story, in essence, is about human emotions and is not rooted in any specific culture. It will be relatable to everyone,” he says, adding that the film was simultaneously shot in both Tamil and Telugu.

Nitham Oru Vaanam / Aakasham was filmed across India by cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna.

Speaking about the cast, the director says, “I wanted actors who could perform well. Ritu will appear in a modern look, while Aparna will have a village get-up. Shivathmika’s story takes place in a period setting, so she will have different look.”

Music director Gopi Sundar has composed six songs for the film, which is currently in the post-production stage. According to the director, the makers are looking for a theatrical release sometime in summer 2022.
