Nivin Pauly Starts Shooting for Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham

Actor Nivin Pauly began shooting for his upcoming Malayalam movie Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham on Friday. The actor took to social media to announce the shoot’s commencement. 

Sharing photos of the crew and the clap board, Nivin wrote, “Finally back to work! Shoot begins for #KankamKaaminiKalaham! Keep us in your prayers!”

Touted to be a satirical family drama, Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham is directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval who had made his debut last year with the blockbuster Android Kunjappan Ver. 5.25. The movie will be bankrolled under Nivin’s Pauly Jr. Pictures banner. The rest of the cast members and crew have not yet been announced. 

Nivin had announced the film on his birthday last month and had released the title poster on social media. On the same day, the actor had also release a poster for his next film Thuramukham, helmed by Rajeev Ravi. Billed to be a historical drama film, Thuramukham stars Poornima Indrajith, Indrajith Sukumaran, Arjun Ashokan, Nimisha Sajayan, Sudev Nair, Manikandan R Achari and Darshana Rajendran in important roles, besides Nivin.

Nivin was last seen in the action thriller film Moothon in 2019. The movie was written and directed by Geetu Mohandas, and co-produced by S Vinod Kumar, Anurag Kashyap, Ajay G Rai and Alan McAlex. Moothon was selected as the opening film at the Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati. The movie bagged many awards at several international film festivals, including the award for Best Film at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Earlier this year, the actor had announced another upcoming film Bismi Special, directed by Rajesh Ravi and produced by Sophia Paul James. His Pauly Jr. Pictures will also be bankrolling debutant director Ronnie Manuel Joseph’s action entertainer Gangster of Mundanmala. Nivin will also be starring in Liju Krishna’s Padavettu along with Manju Warrier and Aditi Balan.
