The poster features the actor wearing a black mask. It has an uncanny resemblance to Hindi film Krrish (2006), starring Hrithik Roshan.
The editor-turned-director initially worked as an assistant director for the film Second Show. His entry into films was with filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s Oraalppokkam.
Appu has also directed acclaimed short films such as Irreversible, Between and Candle Camera and has edited Nonsense, Lily, Theevandi and Udalazham, as reported by The Hindu.
This film marks Nayanthara’s return to Malayalam cinema. She will be shooting for her part this month, as reported by India Today. The actor duo had earlier shared screen space in the 2008 Malayalam film Twenty 20.
The film will reportedly be a thriller and is being shot in Ernakulam in Kerala under strict government restrictions and with regulations in place. There will be minimal crew on the location and the cast will be tested for Covid-19 once every week.
Nayanthara was last seen in the 2020 release Darbar. She is currently awaiting the release of Mookuthi Amman alongside RJ Balaji. She is currently shooting for her upcoming films, including Netrikann, Annatthe, and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
