Actor Kamal Haasan seems to have hit a rough patch personally in the year 2016. He suffered a multi-fracture which took him months to recover from; and there was his much talked about separation from partner Gautami Tadimalla.

2017 has not been any kinder to the 62-year-old actor as he has lost his sister-in-law – elder brother Charu Haasan’s wife. As per a report in The Asian Age, a source close to the Viswaroopam actor has said, “He is very close to his brothers Chandra and Charu. Though Kamal’s bhabhi was ailing for a while, the death has shattered Charu Haasan. The entire family is trying to rally around him during this hour.”
The actor’s comeback to directing and acting may be pushed towards the later part of the year. He had decided to start off in January but, the death of a dear family member and his healing leg has only delayed things further.
“Last year was bad enough for him. This year has barely begun, and Kamal also lost a dear friend Om Puri. His leg has also not healed completely. The comeback will take time,” the source added.
