Nandamuri Balakrishna has reportedly postponed the audio launch event of his upcoming NTR biopic. The trailer and audio were slated to be released on December 16 at Nimmakuru in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. But the launch event of the film’s soundtrack will now happen on December 21 in the same place. The trailer will be unveiled as planned on December 16.
A source for the movie team said that the makers want to invite Chief Minster K Chandrasekhara Rao for the event. Earlier, it was reported that Venkaiah Naidu and Chandrababu Naidu would also be invited as Chief Guests for the function.
Nimmakuru is the birth place of actor NT Rama Rao, and the makers feel that launching the audio here will have emotional resonance for the family of NTR as well as his fans.
NTR biopic sees the legendary actor’s son, Balakrishna, take on the lead role, while actor Vidya Balan portrays Basava Tarakam, the first wife of the actor. Aamani portrays Lakshmi Saraswathi, NTR’s second wife.
The film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, who previously collaborated with Balakrishna for period drama Gautamiputra Satakarni. Krish took over direction duties from Teja, who reportedly walked out of the project after creative differences with Balakrishna.
The biopic will come out in two parts. The first movie titled Kathanayakudu, traces the life of NTR from childhood through his rise as the leading star of the Telugu film industry and finally, his decision to join politics. The second movie Mahanayakudu will focus on NTR’s political life.
The film boasts of a huge cast with the likes of actors Rana Daggubati, Sumanth, Bharath Reddy, Rakul Preet Singh, Poonam Bajwa, Manjima Mohan, Payal Rajput, Shalini Pandey, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Devayani and Nithya Menen in important roles.
