Telugu Actors Announce Aid For Chennai Flood Victims

Nandamuri brothers NTR and Kalyan Ram, actors Mahesh Babu Allu Arjun and Varun Tej have announced donations for the Chennai flood victims. While NTR has announced a contribution of Rs 10 lakh, his brother Kalyan Ram has donated Rs 5 lakh. The money will go to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund. Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun have donated Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh respectively to the TN Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund. Kanche star Varun Tej donated Rs. 3 lakh and Sampoornesh Babu chipped in with Rs. 50,000.

Arjun, who was shocked about the condition in Chennai, said in a statement that he spent 18 years of his life in the city and that it made him who he is today.  Heavy rains have pounded many parts of Tamil Nadu over the last few weeks, severely disrupting the livelihood of its people.

“We have a very long and fond association with Chennai, and the images that are coming out of the city are causing us a lot of pain. This is the time to express solidarity with the people of Chennai. We are contributing to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund. We request everyone to help the people of Chennai in whatever way possible. Stay strong Chennai”, said Nandamuri brothers.
