Oru Pakka Kathai, the second film of director Balaji Tharaneetharan, goes on floors from today. Kalidas, son of Jayaram, debuts as an actor in Tamil cinema with this film. After the comedy Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Balaji has written a family drama.

A couple of months ago, at the launch of the film, Kalidas was formally introduced to the media by Kamal Haasan. Debutante Megha Akash pairs opposite Kalidas. While Premkumar Chandran handles the camera, Govind Menon composes music. Oru Pakka Kathai is produced by Vasans Visual Ventures.
